Twenty-six-year-old Tabitha Knight, the heroine of this sexy page-turner by Tyree (For the Love of Money), doesn't hold down a steady job-she doesn't need to, because she has a string of superrich celebrity boyfriends to help her out. These are the kinds of relationships that Tabitha likes best-plenty of glamour and wining and dining, with no strings attached. Within three weeks of moving to Las Vegas, she has made two new conquests, a former heavyweight boxer and a basketball star. Each day, and with each new relationship, Tabitha turns to her diary, now 13 volumes long, to record the details of her encounters. Tabitha is approached by private investigator Sylvia Green, who wants Tabitha to "get close" to a famous actor suspected of molesting girls and to record whatever information she gets about his crimes in her diary. The operation is being funded by a rich banker who wants justice for his daughter, one of the actor's victims, and Tabitha stands to make six figures. She initially balks at the idea of making her diary public. But she also wants to be able to help out her three foster sisters, Janet, Patrice and Marisol, who are struggling with marriages, money problems, illnesses and brutish boyfriends. And in any case, perhaps it would be worth it just to see the molester in jail. Tabitha is wonderfully levelheaded and sharp, and is surrounded by equally colorful, if less well-developed, characters. The sloppy plotting leaves loose ends, but the unusual premise will easily capture readers' attention.

BORING, BORING, BORING
By catchdyme
THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ IN MY LIFE. I KEPT PUTTING IT DOWN AND THEN PICKING IT BACK UP, HOPING THAT IT WOULD GET BETTER....IT NEVER DID. HE CAN NOT GET ANOTHER CENT FROM ME EVER AGAIN. I HAVE READ TEXTBOOKS THAT WERE MORE INTERESTNG THAN THAT BOOK. IF YOU LIKE BOOKS ABOUT DRAMA, SEX AND SCANDLE THEN DON'T READ THIS. LOL, NO SERIOUSLY I AM THINKING ABOUT TRYING TO GET MY MONEY BACK...BECAUSE THAT WAS A WASTE. IF I DIDN'T HAVE TO GIVE A STAR THEN I WOULDN'T HAVE.....

Missing Entries
By Nicole McCurty
Tabitha Knight is a woman looking for love in all the wrong places in Omar Tyree's latest novel, Diary of a Groupie. Tabitha (aka Toni and a host of other aliases) is a twenty-six year old woman who is supported by the wealthy men in her life. She keeps track of her many escapades with her lovers in her diary. Because of her youthful appearance and ability to charm men, Tabitha is contacted by a private investigator to help bring down a powerful man with a weakness for underage girls. This mission not only puts her life in jeopardy but the lives of the people surrounding her. Tabitha's only salvation may be the one thing she covets most, her diary.
I loved the premise of this book and was looking forward to reading the diary entries of the main character. Unfortunately, the diary entries were few and not that detailed. I was left wondering how the diary ended up being the central theme of the book. Tabitha seemed to be a smart woman who sometimes made bad choices. Some back story would have been helpful in understanding her actions. It would have also provided some insight into her relationship with her foster sisters whose characters were not very developed and did not seem to add to the story.
All in all, Diary of a Groupie was a fast-paced novel that kept me reading to find out if Tabitha was going to land on her feet.

No One Is Going To Break The Lock Trying To Read This
By Ysis
I think this book started out as a good idea, but who knows what it fell victim to in the process of editing and publishing. Mr. Tyree, much like another favorite writer of mine has a wonderful gift for writing from the female point of view and here again did it well. I guess it would have helped if there had been some story to go along with it,though. I appreciated the sensitivity the author tried to inject into his main character, Tabitha, but it didn't work. The other characters were never involved in the story enough to get to know them. There was a lot going on, but the reader was never let in on it. The plot "attempted" to be suspenseful, but whimpered out at just plain confusing. There were other characters who were only brought into the story at the very end of the book, which made it seem like a rush job. There was also a sad attempt at a bit of profoundness, but that failed as well because we didn't know anything or enough about the characters to know the degrees of good or evil within them. The book tried to come off as some kind of chiller-thriller, but it didn't. I think supermarket checkout trash is the best that this can be dubbed. It fell so short of what I'm used to having come from this author. I think Mr. Tyree's forte is his ability to write about Black culture, love, and spirit. This book had nothing whatsoever to do with any of that.
